   It was deathly quiet in the city. Izzy stalked silently through the torn-up roads, looking in every direction to make sure she wasn't seen.    I've been doing nothing but walking for nearly three weeks. My feet were hurting, and my throat was so dry I couldn't even swallow my saliva.
